Individual Therapy

“At the end of the day, we can endure much more than we think we can”

Individual Therapy for Adults Navigating Life’s Challenges

A safe space to reflect, grow, and find your way forward

Everyone experiences moments when life feels overwhelming—whether it’s relationship struggles, shifts in mood or libido, feeling stuck, holding onto past pain, or exploring aspects of sexual or gender identity. I believe that good therapy provides a space for reflection, insight, and skill-building. It’s a place to cope with strong emotions, challenge old patterns, feel seen, and truly heard.

How Therapy Is Structured

Clients typically start with weekly sessions, which helps us build trust and momentum.  As goals are met or life shifts, some choose to move to less frequent sessions (bi-monthly or monthly) in order to stay connected and continue to maintain progress. Together, you and I will consider the pace that works best.  Therapy moves with you—no pressure, no judgment.

The Space I Hold

I offer inclusive, affirming care and strive to create a virtual space where you can feel seen and heard—a space where you feel you can trust, be supported, and feel empowered. My work with clients (ages 18 and over) includes approaches informed by trauma, attachment, and family systems models. I like to utilize/recommend strength-based, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness strategies.

More We Can Talk About

Health, Hormones & Shifts in Sexuality

Common themes:

• Feeling disconnected from your body

• Navigating hormonal shifts or aging

• Changes in desire, mood, and emotional regulation

• Uncertainty or shame around sexual expression

Bodies change—through time, stress, health, hormones, identity shifts—and those changes ripple into intimacy, emotion, and self-understanding. Therapy offers a space to reflect on these transitions with care, curiosity, and honesty. Whether you're experiencing perimenopause, erectile changes, evolving sexual identity, or simply feeling out of sync, we explore what it means to feel whole and connected in your body. This work is about honoring your experience—exploring grief about old ways of being and being interested about new expressions of intimacy. We’ll explore what it means to feel whole in the midst of transition.

Identity Exploration (Gender, Sexuality, Self-Worth)

Common themes:

• Questioning or evolving gender identity

• Exploring sexual orientation

• Feeling disconnected from core values or self-image

• Struggling with cultural or familial expectations

Identity is layered—it’s shaped by internal experiences, relationships, culture, and time. In therapy, we gently untangle those threads and explore who you are beneath the labels. Whether you’re feeling uncertain, constrained, or curious, we’ll create space for clarity and acceptance. This is about showing up as your full self, unapologetically.

Breakups & Relationship Loss

Common themes:

• Coping with a recent breakup

• Letting go of past relationships

• Understanding attachment wounds

• Healing from ambiguity or emotional fallout

Relationship endings—whether sudden or slow—can leave you feeling lost, ashamed, or questioning everything. Therapy helps you process the grief, reconnect with your needs, and find healing that doesn’t depend on someone else’s closure. You don’t have to piece yourself together alone.

First or New Romantic Relationships

Common themes:

• Navigating emotional intensity for the first time

• Exploring intimacy and trust

• Dealing with conflict or insecurity

• Figuring out what love means for you.

Your first or a new romantic relationship can be overwhelming—and deeply transformative. We work through how to communicate your needs, build emotional safety, and understand your own relational patterns. Therapy can help you feel more grounded and confident as you take steps toward intimacy and partnership.

Life Transitions

Common themes:

• Career changes or identity shifts

• Loss, relocation, or evolving roles

• Emotional upheaval without clear cause

• Feeling stuck or untethered

Transitions stir up uncertainty, grief, possibility—all at once. Whether you’re starting a new career, entering a new role, or simply feeling like life isn’t fitting anymore, therapy provides a place to anchor and sort through what’s shifting. Together, we find clarity in the chaos.

Self-Esteem & Personal Growth

Common themes:

• Harsh inner voice or self-criticism

• Comparing yourself to others

• Feeling stuck, small, or unseen

• Longing for change but afraid to start

Personal growth begins with compassionate self-awareness. In therapy, we gently challenge the parts of you that keep you small and nurture the voice that believes you deserve more. This work is tender, empowering, and absolutely worth it.

Anxiety & Emotional Regulation

Common themes:

• Overthinking, worry, or racing thoughts

• Social anxiety or fear of judgment

• Difficulty relaxing or sleeping

• Feeling overwhelmed by day-to-day tasks

Anxiety can feel relentless, like an invisible current running beneath everything. In therapy, we explore what’s feeding the anxiety and build tools to calm your mind, regulate emotions, and reconnect with a sense of steadiness. You’re not alone—and you don’t have to white-knuckle your way through.
